n Burglary: McLarney Construction reported someone broke into a construction trailer at Juan Hernandez Drive over the weekend and stole copper piping and fittings. The report was taken at 8:40am.
n Fraud: The manager of the Chevron gas station on Cochrane Road reported she received a fraudulent traveler’s check for $100 from a customer. The report was taken at 11:42am.
n Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported she left her purse in the car while she was helping her husband with a landscaping job, and the purse was stolen. She told police the purse contained identification, two rings, $50 in cash and birth certificates of four of her children. The report was taken at 3:11pm.
n Petty theft: An employee of UC Components, Inc., on Adams Court reported someone stole the employee’s bike during the afternoon. The report was taken at 5:20pm.
n Battery: A resident of Terracina Apartments reported her ex-boyfriend came to her apartment to pick up their children, and while he was there, he noticed a “hickey” on her and became upset. She told police he took her cell phone, pushed her and broke five of her pictures. There is a history of domestic violence in the relationship, she said.

n Burglary: Forotte Construction reported that a trailer on their construction site at Dunne and Murphy Avenues was broken into over the weekend, and tools and equipment were stolen. The report was taken at 8:58am.
n Petty theft: A resident of Kelly Park Circle reported the right front tire of her vehicle was stolen. The report was taken at 9:29am.
n Vandalism: A resident of Village Avante Apartment Homes reported someone slashed all four tires of her Honda Civic overnight. The report was taken at 1:18pm.
n Defraud Innkeeper: The Residence Inn on Madrone Parkway reported a customer left without paying his $6,000 bill. The report was taken at 3:01pm.
n Identity theft: A resident of Old Monterey Road reported his brother used his identity to get out of a ticket in Modesto, and now he can’t renew his driver’s license. The report was taken at 3:42pm.
n Fraud: South Valley National Bank on Tennant Station Way reported a male suspect came into the bank and tried to cash a stolen check, but was turned away. The suspect then allegedly went into Rite Aid and cashed two checks for $450. The report was taken at 4:27pm.

n Vandalism: The owner of the Ya Bon coffee shop on Depot Street reported someone attempted to steal the window air conditioning unit from the business, causing damage. The report was taken at 12:02am.
