announced its Board of Directors for 2004.
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) has announced its Board of Directors for 2004.

The VTA Board has 17 members and two ex-officio members. Fourteen directors are city council members, 12 serve as voting members, five serve as alternates, three are county supervisors, and up to two are ex-officio members who are Santa Clara County’s representatives to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC).

The VTA Board of Directors for 2004 are:

Don Gage, chairman; Joe Pirzynski, vice chairperson; Cindy Chavez; David Cortese; Pat Dando (San Jose Vice Mayor); Ron Gonzales (San Jose mayor); Forrest Williams; Ken Yeager (alternate); David Casas; Breene Kerr; John McLemore; Frederik M. Fowler; Dolly Sandoval; Patricia Dixon; Dennis Kennedy (Alternate); Blanca Alvarado (Alternate); Pete McHugh; Jim Beall (ex-officio).

The VTA Board of Directors meets on the first Thursday of every month. Closed session is at 5:30, followed by regular meettings at 6 p.m., at the County Government Center, 70 W. Hedding St.
