’s progress. On Wednesday, LO (2-9 overall) fell to Los Gatos
59-33 despite eight points from senior guard Amanda Lytle. On
Friday the Acorns lost to Evergreen 56-39 despite 16 points from
sophomore guard Megan Gulla and 10 from freshman center Afshawn
Chakamian. The Acorn girls take next week off

On Friday the Acorns lost to Evergreen 56-39 despite 16 points from sophomore guard Megan Gulla and 10 from freshman center Afshawn Chakamian.
The Acorn girls take next week off, then host Santa Teresa on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 7pm.
Sobrato basketball
In a classic triple overtime thriller at crosstown rival Live Oak High, the Sobrato High boys frosh-soph basketball team pulled out a 71-68 victory on Dec. 10. Marqus Crawford scored a game-high 30 points for the Bulldogs in the big win.
Sobrato (7-2 overall) added a 77-52 victory over East Palo Alto at Britton Middle School on Tuesday this week as four different players scored in double figures for the Bulldogs. The Sobrato boys play at Palma today at noon.
Meanwhile, the Lady Bulldogs frosh-soph girls basketball team has won two of its first six games. Sobrato has beaten Kehillah 35-17 and Lynbrook 32-30, but has lost to San Jose 27-23, Half Moon Bay 38-24, Mt. Pleasant 44-27 and Hollister-San Benito 17-14.
