Come to the Jan. 25 San Jose City Council meeting and learn how to buy Santa Clara County land for only $10,000 an acre. Sound too good to be true? Observe the Council approve the Coyote Valley Specific Plan.
Meet Consuela who wants only to make her own retirement plans but must, instead, wait while San Jose does this for her; families of Japanese descent having land taken from them … again; the family whose county zoning was simply taken from them by San Jose; the bankrupt farmer who cannot enjoy even the true value of the land he’s stewarded; landowners who are denied bank loans due to the unsettled state; a “country squire” who will not allow his farmer neighbor to irrigate due to water overspray; “small-scale farming” allowing $5,600 annually on a 10-acre Christmas Tree farm.
Build green – north Coyote soil is rich and lush, south Coyote soil isn’t. “Conservation” dictates preserving the best soil. Sorry, the soils report isn’t ready for the public, yet.

Voters, if you control the land, you own the land; pay for it. How do you make possible the world’s greatest “planned community”? You methodically devalue half the land – to zero, if possible. It’s immoral, unethical and devastating for too many.
