Burglary
Someone, between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 9:15 a.m. Dec. 2 on the 17000 block of Serene Drive in Morgan Hill, cut the lock on a chain link gate and opened three storage units with rollup doors and two containers.
A 39-year-old male, between 5 and 6:40 a.m. Dec. 3 on the 300 block of Kirby Avenue in Morgan Hill, forced entry through the front door of a residence and began loading items into a van. Officers arrived and placed him under arrest.
Someone, between 9:30 a.m. Nov. 27 and 2 p.m. Nov. 28 on the 2600 block of Pacheco Pass Highway, took a package off the front porch, opened it and stole eight knives from a locked agriculture building. Estimated value of stolen items was $1,000.
Someone, between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 20 and 12:45 p.m. Nov. 21 on the 13000 block of Harding Avenue in San Martin, stole items from the property valued at $535.
Vehicle burglary
Someone, between 2:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and 7:45 a.m. Nov. 30 on the 100 block of Depot Street in San Martin, smashed a car window parked at the Odyssey High School and stole three speakers.
Someone, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27 on the 15000 block of Uvas Road in Morgan Hill, stole stereo covers, an ash tray and a cup holder from a vehicle. The stolen items were estimated at $40.
Someone, between 8 p.m. Nov. 20 and 9 a.m. Nov. 21 on the 1200 block of San Martin Avenue in San Martin, broke the driver’s side car window and ransacked a vehicle.
Someone, between 11 p.m. Nov. 20 and 9 a.m. Nov. 21 on the 1200 block of San Martin Avenue, broke the front passenger’s side window and stole $15 in cash and a white Android phone charger.
Someone, between 12:20 and 3:40 a.m. Nov. 21 on the 13000 block of Center Avenue in Gilroy, broke the driver’s side window and stole various items from a vehicle, including a television and driver’s licence. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,450.
Identity theft
Someone, between 8 a.m. Feb. 13 and 5 p.m. Dec. 11 on the 1400 block of Terri Lynn Court at Center Avenue in Gilroy, used the victim’s last name and social security number to open an account with Charter Communications. The victim tried to open an account and was told there was a $100 outstanding balance.
Fraudulent use of access card
Someone, at midnight Dec. 2 on the 2800 block of Tohara Way in Morgan Hill, made unauthorized charges of $2,658.93 to the victim’s debit card.
Petty theft
Someone, between 4 p.m. Oct. 30 and 10 a.m. Nov. 25 on the 400 block of Denio Avenue in Gilroy, stole the license plate off a trailer.
Someone, about 7:27 a.m. Nov. 28 on the 100 block of Ogier Avenue in Morgan Hill, stole a victim’s bicycle and bike trailer valued at $700.
Someone, between 1 and 3 p.m. Nov. 4 on Redwood Retreat Road at Watsonville Road in Gilroy, stole a bicycle from a bicycle rack.
Someone, between 6 p.m. Nov. 20 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 23 on the 12000 block of Green Valley Road in Gilroy, stole a garage door opener and remote for the front gate to a community from an unlocked vehicle.
Someone, between 8 a.m. Nov. 22 and 11:10 a.m. Nov. 23 on the 1300 block of Masten Avenue in Gilroy, stole the front license plate off a vehicle.
Driving on a suspended license
A 22-year-old woman was charged with fraudulent use of registration tabs and driving on a suspended license at 12:52 a.m. Nov. 30 on Monterey Highway at Live Oak Avenue in Morgan Hill.
Embezzlement
One employee of a farm supply store witnessed another receive $10 from a customer for a purchase and put the money in their pocket instead of the cash register about 11 a.m. on the 10000 block of Monterey Road in Gilroy.
Vandalism
Someone, between 9 a.m. Nov. 23 and 10:48 a.m. Nov. 30 on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard, vandalized the water towers at Gavilan College, causing $2,000 in damages.
Someone threw metal objects through a residence window on the 10000 block of Foothill Avenue in Gilroy at 4 p.m. Nov. 22.
Drugs
A 28-year-old man, about 5:10 p.m. Dec. 2 on the 13000 block of Monterey Highway in San Martin, was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.
A 44-year-old man was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 22 on East Middle Avenue at Murphy Avenue in San Martin.
Stolen vehicle
A vehicle was stolen on the zero block of Burbank Avenue in San Martin between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 5:42 a.m. Dec. 3.
A vehicle was stolen on the 21000 block of Uvas Road in Morgan Hill between 11 p.m. Dec. 5 and 7:45 a.m. Dec. 6.
A vehicle was stolen on the 13000 block of Depot Street in San Martin between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and midnight Dec. 1.
A vehicle was stolen on the 2000 block of Bloomfield Avenue in Gilroy between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 12:15 p.m. Nov. 29.
A trailer was stolen on the 2000 block of Llagas Road in Morgan Hill between noon Nov. 26 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 28.
A vehicle was stolen on the 1800 block of Fisher Avenue in Morgan Hill between 9 p.m. Nov. 25 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 26.
A 36-year-old man was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine at 9:49 p.m. Nov. 25 on the 14000 block of Center Avenue in San Martin.
A boat was stolen from a storage container at a business facility on the 200 block of Fitzgerald Avenue in Gilroy between midnight May 1 and 5 p.m. Nov. 12.
Recovered vehicle
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle parked on Roop Road east of New Avenue at 8:10 a.m. Dec. 6.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle parked in a gravel parking lot on the 13000 block of Harding Avenue in San Martin at 12:25 p.m. Dec. 1.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle abandoned on the 14000 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin at 3:19 p.m. Nov. 29.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle located on Murphy Avenue at Tennant Avenue in Morgan Hill at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 29.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle at the end of Neva Court at Monterey Highway in San Martin at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 29.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle on the 13000 block of Colony Avenue in San Martin at 3:32 p.m. Nov. 27. A large butcher knife wrapped in a white towel was stuffed between the driver’s seat and center console and some black gloves were found on the front passenger seat and floor.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle abandoned on the 13000 block of Harding Avenue in San Martin between 9:37 and 9:45 a.m. Nov. 23.
Officers recovered a stolen vehicle at Uvas Reservoir County Park on Uvas Road at Eastman Canyon in Morgan Hill at 10:19 a.m. Nov. 23.
