Accident
<
A male driver flipped a truck after spinning donuts in a field near Sobrato High School on Burnett Avenue. The driver left the area and then returned with others to flip the truck upright. Police later caught up to the truck and cited the driver for reckless driving. The incident was reported 5:20pm March 6.

A motorist crashed a vehicle into Coyote Creek near the intersection of Cochrane Road and San Rafael Street. An occupant of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital. The accident was reported 5:28pm March 5.

Auto burglary
<
Someone smashed the window on a Ford F150 and stole a laptop computer. The crime was reported 5:23pm March 6 on the 700 block of Jarvis Drive.

A suspect or suspects broke into a 199 Ford F350 truck by smashing the passenger’s window, and stole a toolbox. The crime was reported 9:45pm March 5 on the 2300 block of Arabian Court.

Someone broke into a Dodge 1500 on Saint Anne Lane and stole two bags of tools. The crime was reported 12:29pm March 6.

A thief or thieves broke into a truck on Calle Siena and stole about $700 worth of a child’s baseball equipment. The crime was reported 6:19pm Feb. 26.

Burglary
<
A burglar or burglars broke into a home on Sierra Court and ransacked the residence. The crime was reported 5:33pm March 6.

A resident of the zero block of Ciolino Avenue returned home to find someone had broken a window and entered the residence. It appeared a burglar or burglars had gone through some drawers, stole a watch and left behind a cell phone. The crime was reported 11:47pm March 6.

Someone broke a side door of a home on Ash Court and entered the residence. The suspect or suspects used the toilet in the home but did not flush. The crime was reported 1:53pm March 8.

A burglar or burglars broke into a home on Del Monte Avenue and stole about $10,000 worth of savings bonds, marijuana and a bong. The homeowner was out of town during the burglary. The crime was reported 9:31pm March 5.

Petty theft

Someone stole the front license plate from a vehicle parked on Cochrane Road. The crime was reported 7:41pm March 7.

A customer of Walmart stole food and alcohol from the store, located at 170 Cochrane Plaza. The crime was reported 10:10am March 12.

A thief or thieves stole the front license plate from a black Lexus parked at Strixe, 650 Tennant Station. The theft was reported 1:53pm March 14.

Vandalism
<
Two juveniles tagged the rear door of Cinelux movie theater, 750 Tennant Station Way, with graffiti. The vandalism was reported 4:46pm March 11.

Stolen vehicle
<
A thief or thieves stole a purple Honda Civic from a gas station on the 16900 block of Monterey Road. The theft was reported 3:54pm March 9.

A Honda Civic stolen out of Gilroy was recovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex on La Alameda Drive in Morgan Hill. The vehicle was recovered 6:30pm Feb. 26.

A red Honda Civic that had been reported stolen out of Gilroy was recovered in the area of Via Corfino and Monticello Way in Morgan Hill. The vehicle was reportedly recovered 9:04am March 15.
