Two thousand meter runners begin the AAUW-Morgan Hill’s 27th annual Wildflower Run March 28. More than 900 runners, a record number took part in this event that raises funds for scholarships for women and girls. Winners: 10K male, 1st Jose Pina, Sr., 2nd Jose Ochoa, 3rd Aaron Patterson; 10K female, 1st Ashley Ryan French, 2nd Julie Wolfsmith, 3rd Tina Zanora; 5K male, 1st Lance Wolfsmith, 2nd Kyle Deisenroth, 3rd Winston Van Keulen; 5K female, 1st Kari Anne Bertrand, 2nd Sarah Gilbert, 3rd Erin Logan; 2K (12 and younger) overall Thomas Rich; male, 1st Omar Pina, 2nd Ben Robison, 3rd David Sweeney; female, 1st Melanie Williams, 2nd Natalie Mazaud, 3rd Myrna Hernandez.
