Tools and racing gear worth $12,550 were stolen from a residence on the 8600 block of Leavesley Road, between 7:30 a.m. March 29 and 1:15 p.m. April 1.
Vehicle burglary
A GPS was stolen from an unlocked 2009 silver Ford Mustang on the 3300 block of Cañada Road, between 11:30 p.m. March 31 and 6:45 a.m. April 1.
A stereo was stolen from an unlocked 1981 tan Mercedes on the 8800 block of Poppy Lane, between 6:30 a.m. March 29 and 11:30 p.m. March 31.
The front window of a 2007 silver Toyota TC was shattered and an Apple iPod worth $200 was stolen from inside on the 13100 block of Chaparral Road in Morgan Hill, between 9:30 p.m. March 28 and 6:45 a.m. March 29.
A purse containing $140 in cash was stolen from an unlocked 2003 white Chevrolet Tahoe on the 2300 block of Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill, between 9:30 and 9:35 p.m. March 28.
A car seat massager worth $70 was stolen from an unlocked 2002 green Chevrolet truck on the 300 block of Blossom Court in Morgan Hill, between 6 p.m. March 25 and 2 p.m. March 26.

Residential burglary
A laptop, a jewelry box, jewelry, silverware, Xbox games and a video game console were stolen from a residence on the 9700 block of Burchell Road, 9:39 a.m. March 31. The kitchen door had been kicked in.
Several pieces of jewelry, including a 2-carat diamond ring worth $5,000, and electronic equipment were stolen from a residence on the 1900 block of Alpet Drive in Morgan Hill, between 3 and 7 p.m. March 29.
Electronics were stolen from an unlocked residence on the 9500 block of Estates Drive and the home was ransacked, between 10:15 and 11:30 a.m. March 29.
A necklace worth $2,800 and $1,850 in cash were stolen from an unlocked trailer on the 13600 block of Sycamore Avenue in San Martin, between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 26.
The glass window of a residence on the 17400 block of Holiday Drive in Morgan Hill was broken and the front door was unlocked but nothing was taken from inside, between 4:50 and 5 a.m. March 24.

Burglary
A Dell laptop worth $450 was stolen from a building at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., between 12 a.m. Nov. 1 and 9:52 a.m. March 29.
Grand theft
Scrap metal and auger bits worth $2,350 were stolen from the backyard of a residence on the 200 block of Los Hermanos Court in Morgan Hill, between 12 p.m. March 14 and 12 p.m. March 26.
Electronic equipment, power tools and cash, total loss of $1,605, were stolen from an unlocked 2001 white GMC Sierra on the 2300 block of Dryden Avenue, between 11:30 p.m. March 21 and 12:30 p.m. March 22.
Auto theft
A 1981 yellow Volkswagen truck was stolen from the 14100 block of Barrett Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 12 a.m. Dec. 20, 2008, and 12 a.m. Jan. 31.
Identity theft
A San Martin woman’s maiden name and address was used to open insurance, medical and phone accounts, which were then charged $2,500, between 12 a.m. June 11, 2008, and 12 a.m. March 12.
A purse was stolen from an unlocked black Chevrolet Tahoe on the 100 block of North Street in San Martin, between 9:05 and 10:10 a.m. March 24, and someone attempted to use the victim’s information to open two online accounts.
A Morgan Hill man’s credit and checking accounts had been accessed and changed, between 9:30 a.m. March 19 and 4 p.m. March 22.
Felony vandalism
A water pump near Highway 25 and Bloomfield Avenue was vandalized, causing $15,000 in damage, between 12 a.m. March 19 and 2 p.m. March 21.
Graffiti was spray painted on a water tank and telephone box and a chain link fence was bent, causing $1,000 in damage, on the 15500 block of Hill Road in Morgan Hill, between 8:30 a.m. March 15 and 8:30 a.m. March 22.
Recovered stolen vehicle
A 1991 black Honda Accord stolen out of Watsonville was found near Frazier Lake Road and Pacheco Pass Highway, 11:58 a.m. March 22.
Forgery
Police suspect a 29-year-old Morgan Hill man, a 50-year-old Gilroy woman and a 33-year-old Gilroy man forged and cashed checks stolen from a business on the 5400 block of Frazier Lake Road, between 3 and 6 p.m. Jan. 25.
