GILROY — The Central Coast Barnstormers have won two straight after they dispatched the Monterey Bay Vikings 35-7 Saturday in Gilroy.

Coupled with a 5-0 victory over the Nor Cal Lawmen two weeks ago, and the Barnstormers are now 4-3 overall and sit in second place in the National Conference South Division of the Northern California Football League.

The Salinas Spartans, at 7-1 overall, remain in first place in the division, while the Barnstormers hold a one-game lead in the loss column over the third-place South Bay Stallions (3-4).

With only three weeks remaining in the regular season, the Barnstormers will look to close out their 2010 campaign on a strong note. The team will start this Saturday when they will travel to Terra Nova High School to take on the Pacifica Islanders, which currently boast a 6-1 record and first-place standing in the National Conference North Division.
