Morgan Hill Police will conduct a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint tonight at East Dunne Avenue and Joleen Way.
The checkpoint will take place from 8:30 p.m. tonight to 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
The purpose of the checkpoint is to educate drivers about the laws related to drinking and driving, and to screen drivers who have potentially consumed alcoholic beverages, police said. Officers will ensure drivers are sober and possess current driver’s licenses.
Drivers who are intoxicated may be arrested at the scene of the checkpoint and taken into Morgan Hill police custody.
