Five of the Morgan Hill Swim Club (Makos) swimmers helped lead
the Zone 1 South all-stars to a second-place finish at the Zone
All-Star Meet on Saturday, March 5, at Frank Fiscalini
International Swim Center in San Jose. The swimmers were competing
with the other Zones for the Zone All-Star trophy last week.
Five of the Morgan Hill Swim Club (Makos) swimmers helped lead the Zone 1 South all-stars to a second-place finish at the Zone All-Star Meet on Saturday, March 5, at Frank Fiscalini International Swim Center in San Jose.

The swimmers were competing with the other Zones for the Zone All-Star trophy last week.

MHSC swimmers who competed in the all-star event included:

  • Kortney Kay (9-10) 100 IM, 50 Breaststroke, 100 Freestyle, 100 Medley Relay, 100 Free Relay.

  • Katie Rick (11-12), 100 Breaststroke, 200 IM, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay.

  • Danny Thompson (11-12), 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay.

  • Alisa Pinarbasi (13-14), 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay.

  • Steven Rick (13-14), 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 200 IM, 200 Medley Relay, and 200 Free Relay.

The top eight swimmers in each age group, male and female, from each of the four zones are selected by the USA Swimming/Pacific Swimming Zones committee base on their best times and performance.

The Makos Morgan Hill Swim Club has been awarded as a bronze level club by the USA Swimming and swimming in Morgan Hill since 1961.
