Live Oak took advantage of two power plays to score a pair of its goals.

The Acorns were bolstered by another strong defensive effort, led by senior goalie Michael Anvari, and now lead their division for fewest goals allowed.

Live Oak also leads the division in total goals scored.

The Acorns’ win earned them sole possession of second place, and with one game left in the season, they are the odds-on favorites to enter the playoffs with a No. 2 seed.

This Friday, Live Oak plays Monta Vista at 11pm at Rollin Ice in San Jose
