As many as 135,000 ballots remain uncounted for the Nov. 2 election in Santa Clara County, according to the county registrar of voters.

Registrar spokeswoman Elma Rosas said there are 135,000 mail-in ballots and 18,000 provisional ballots still uncounted.

Rosas said 100,000 ballots will be counted and posted to sccgov.org at 5 p.m. Friday. She said the remaining 35,000 will be counted and posted to the website at 5 p.m. Monday. There is no timetable for when the provisional ballots will be counted, but Rosas said the county registrar of voters has 28 days to complete and certify the election.
