Marva Simpson was born on May 7, 1900, in Myrtle, Mo., and died
March 16, 2005, after suffering a stroke at Beverly Health Care in
Sonora. She was 104.

Marva Simpson lived in Sonora for five years. Previous to that, she lived in San Martin from 1966-2000 with her son George Robinson. She was a housewife all of her adult years except during World War II, when she worked for Douglas Aircraft factory in Tulsa, Okla. She loved working in the garden and cooking.

She is survived by her son George Robinson of Sonora (formerly of San Martin), and daughter Bethel Hennigan and her husband Joe of Pasadena; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation takes place from 5-8pm today, March 22, at Johnson Funeral Home. Services take place at 11am on Wednesday, March 23, at the funeral home. Interment follows at Gavilan Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
