n A resident of the 800 block of Claremont Drive reported his son’s bike was stolen from the closed garage. The report was taken at 1:16pm on Feb. 1.

n A resident of La Crosse Drive reported the back patio door was left open, and the resident’s jewelry box was ransacked and a camera was left lying in the hallway. The report was taken at 1:02pm on Jan. 28.

n Betsy’s Restaurant in Tennant Station reported the bar was broken into overnight, and a neon light was stolen. A screwdriver was found where the light used to be. Nothing else was stolen. The bar was locked up at 3am. The report was taken on Feb. 4 at 9:50pm.

n A resident of Eagle View Drive reported the resident returned from vacation and found the front door of the house open, and the house was ransacked. The report was taken at 9:53pm on Feb. 5.

n Taco Bell on Condit Road reported the business was broken into overnight. The safe was stolen, but it was unclear what other items, if any, were stolen. The report was taken on Feb. 11 at 8:15am.

n A resident of Brega Lane reported he returned home to find his front door open and jewelry missing from the bedroom. The report was taken on Feb. 17 at 6:48pm.

n A resident of the 16600 block of San Benito reported an attempted burglary of the residence. A window screen was pried off and removed, there were handprints left on the window ledge, and there was damage to the rear deck of the residence. The report was taken at 5:46pm on Feb. 18.

Tampering with a motor vehicle:

n A resident of the 18500 block of Hale Avenue reported that someone tampered with his GMC truck, cutting wires and stealing parts. Whoever did it left their tools behind, he said. The report was taken on Jan. 28 at 9:30am.

n A resident of The Meadows on Del Monte Lane reported someone stole the battery from the resident’s truck. The report was taken on Feb. 15 at 10:15am.

Child Abuse:

n A resident of Berry Court reported her neighbor locked the neighbor’s 5-year-old son out of the residence. The child reportedly was trying to get back in, but the parents had locked him out intentionally. The resident told police the child “didn’t listen to his mom and always gets locked out.” The child did not have shoes on, the resident said. This has happened before, the resident reported. The report was taken at 7pm on Jan. 29.

n A hospital emergency room reported parents of a 3-year-old child brought the child in because they found blood in the girl’s diaper and suspected she had been sexually molested. The doctor believes the incident probably occurred that morning, and the parents have a suspect in mind. The report was taken on Feb. 4 at 6:20pm.

n Nordstrom Elementary School reported an 11-year-old special ed child who is supposed to ride the bus home has repeatedly taken the bus home to find no one there. The mother is supposed to be at home when the child returns; the child cannot be left unsupervised. The bus brings the child back to the school. The report was taken on Feb. 16 at 3:42pm.

n A Morgan Hill resident reported her 4-year-old daughter may have been sexually abused by a little boy at a daycare center. The report was taken at 8:29pm on Feb. 16.

Found Property:

n A resident of the 300 block of Calle Caballeria reported she found a box of Federal Classic shot shells and a box of Winchester .22 long rifle cartridges, as well as two gun locks and a dagger in a sheath. She took the items to the police station. The report was taken on Feb. 15 at 6:44pm.

Threats:

n A resident of the 17400 block of Blue Jay Drive reported she received a letter from a renter of hers in Nevada. The renter threatened to “burn their house down and only corpses would be found.” The renter said he had “ties” in New Jersey, New York, Florida and California, and these “ties” would carry out the threat. The report was taken on Feb. 7 at 5:53pm.
