TRIUMPH! Live Oak High School Class of 2019 graduate Jaden Martinez jumps for joy after she receives her diploma at the June 7 graduation ceremony at the school's East Main Avenue campus.

Local law enforcement and first responders invited members of the public to join them from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4 in downtown Morgan Hill for the 2015 National Night Out event.
Visitors will get a chance to meet Morgan Hill Police Department officers, SWAT Team members and Morgan Hill Fire Department firefighters. Police and fire vehicles will also be on display.
Also part of the annual festivities are an old fashioned ice cream social, food, face painting, music, games, prizes and kids activities. The event is co-sponsored by the MHPD and the Recreation and Community Services Division.
For 32 years, communities across the county have celebration National Night Out as a way to strengthen community/public safety partnerships and show support for local anti-crime officers, according to organizers. National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch.
The event will take place in downtown Morgan Hill between Dunne Avenue and Fourth Street.
