A 12-year-old boy riding a bicycle collided with a motorist near the intersection of Monterey Road and Dunne Avenue Friday afternoon, police said.
The young Morgan Hill resident was not transported to a hospital by ambulance, but reported a “complaint of pain to his leg, and knee scrapes” to authorities who responded to the accident, according to Morgan Hill police Sgt. Troy Hoefling. The boy’s family arrived at the scene after the collision.
The accident happened about 3 p.m. Friday, police said. The 36-year-old male driver of a 1994 Dodge pickup was traveling north on Monterey Road, and the bicyclist was traveling southbound when the accident happened.
The driver, a San Jose resident, stopped at the scene, and has not been cited for traffic violations, Hoefling said.
