More than 1,000 residents of Morgan Hill were without electricity for about four hours Monday after a car collided with a utility pole, according to a PG&E spokesperson.
About 1,060 customers were affected by the outage which started about 2:17 p.m., according to PG&E spokeswoman Monica Tell. She did not know the location of the vehicle collision with the utility pole as of press time.
Customers affected reside in areas south of Wright Avenue, and as far south as Watsonville Road and Sunnyside Avenue, and along Edmundson and Sycamore avenues, Tell said.
The power was expected to be restored to all affected customers by 6 p.m. Monday, Tell added.
PG&E crews were on site making repairs to the damaged area by 4 p.m., she said.
