William Stewart Byrd passed away Thursday morning, at his home in Hollister at the age of 85. Born in Philadelphia, PA having resided in Hollister for the past 20 years. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired co-owner of Robyrdson’s Children Store in San Jose. Member of Ridgemark Golf & Country Club, Ridgemark’s Mens Club. S.I.R.S. and the Elk’s Lodge. Survived by his wife, Jo Ann Byrd of Hollister, daughters, Susan Cull of Modesto, Terry Cole (Ben) of Riverbank and Deborah Brennan (Walter) of Moraga. Also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
