Gav coach urges help for tsunami disaster victims

Gavilan College men’s basketball assistant coach Michael Baumgartner is urging members of the local community to pitch in and help out with the relief effort for victims of the Dec. 26 earthquake/tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Baumgartner, whose family sponsors underprivileged children through the charitable organizations Save the Children (www.savethechildren.org) and World Vision (www.wvus.org), suggests those two Web sites as a starting point for those who wish to give “a few pennies” to the effort.
