SOFTBALL: Gilroy secures spot in World Series semifinals with win over Guam

They add two more wins against A league teams this week with
victories over North Salinas and St. Francis

Live Oak picked up two quality wins in nonleague softball this week, beating A conference foes North Salinas, 9-2, and St. Francis, 8-6, Monday and Wednesday.

Kayla Cisneroz had four RBIs in three hits in the latter game, and Grace Hargadon and Marisa Faust added two hits, helping the Acorns (9-10) to a third win in five games.

Against North Salinas, Pati Monterrey belted a solo home run, and Cisneroz connected for a two-run shot and also tripled. Priscilla Orona and Diana Lopez had two hits apiece, with Lopez driving in a pair, and Hargadon singled and matched teammate Khailyn Neumayer with an RBI. Jenny Obbema added a double.

Katie Obbema was the winning pitcher in both games.
