The Nov. 6 Veterans Day 1-mile children’s run, 5K and 10K runs raised a total of $32,550 for organizations that provide services to veterans. Specifically, the funds were donated to Operation Freedom Paws, DreamPower Horsemanship, Team Red White and Blue and the South Bay Blue Star Moms. “The sponsoring help of many local businesses made this donation possible,” Veterans Day Run organizers said in a press release.

Charles Weston, Principal at Weston Miles Architects and a Vietnam veteran, organized the eighth annual event to support his fellow veterans.
