“Lee” as she was known to her friends, passed away unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Hospital, in San Jose, on Tuesday, August 17th, 2010, from complications arising due to her fight with Cancer.

After moving to Gilroy in 1976, she taught at various schools within the Gilroy Unified school district but always stated that her tenure at the San Ysidro Elementary 6th grade was her most favorite and memorable time ….

Upon retiring from GUSD to look after her ailing mother, she took up an avid interest in sewing/quilting which later helped pass some of the long days during her cancer treatments.

She is survived by her husband Bernard, and sons; Robert, in Minnesota, and James, in Gilroy and her cat Stanley.

Lee, you touched the lives of many and are loved by all. Gone, but not forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home, Saturday, September 11, 2010, starting at 2:00 P.M.

Per her request, in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Lung Assoc. and the American Cancer Society.
