Golden Hills Pony Club hosted the regional Quiz Rally at San
Martin-Gwinn Elementary School March 14, where 90 competitors
participated from throughout the Middle California Region.
Golden Hills Pony Club hosted the regional Quiz Rally at San Martin-Gwinn Elementary School March 14, where 90 competitors participated from throughout the Middle California Region. The top placing competitors will go on to compete at the National Quiz competition this summer in the State of Washington.
Pony Club is one of the leading junior equestrian organizations in the world.
The Quiz rally consists of the following phases: competitors are asked oral questions in a classroom setting; barn-competitors are asked to demonstrate skills with a horse or pony; stations-teams work together to answer questions or identify items and mega room competitors must individually match items on display with items listed on answer sheets.
Golden Hills members Blake Duarte and Marina Bireley’s team placed second; Jessica Pieracci, Briana Carson and Sophia Teixeira’s team placed ninth out of 17 teams in their division.
Golden Hills Pony Club covers the area of Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey Counties.
