The Gilroy Police Department is looking for a suspect with a rifle in an armed robbery at about 10:43 p.m. Friday on the 8400 block of Murray Avenue in Gilroy.

The suspect demanded an undisclosed amount of money from a store clerk and fled the area after the clerk complied, according to a GPD press release.

The suspect is described as a white male or possibly a light-skinned Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 30 years old and approximately 5 feet 6 or 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The male was last seen wearing a black and white “heavy” jacket.
