Police are looking for a woman who robbed Citibank in downtown Morgan Hill Friday morning.

About 11:30 a.m. June 17, an African-American adult entered the bank and approached the teller, according to Morgan Hill Police Sgt. Carlos Guerrero. The suspect handed the teller a note demanding money.

The bank employee gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash, which the suspect placed into a canvas tote bag, Guerrero said.

The suspect then left the bank and walked away eastbound on Fifth Street, police said. Officers on foot and in patrol car were combing the neighborhood searching for the suspect in the aftermath of the robbery.

The female adult robber is about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, and was wearing a white jacket, black and white scarf and a dark brown or burgundy wig at the time of the robbery, Guerrero said. About 3 p.m., police released photos of the suspect from a bank surveillance video.
