Auto burglary
A thief or thieves pried open a toolbox attached to a work truck and stole about $2,000 worth of tools. The crime occurred on Oak Glen Avenue, and was reported to police at 7:48am Aug. 29.
Someone broke into a vehicle parked on Depot Street and stole a purse with a cell phone, cash, insulin, driver’s license, medical cards and other items inside. The crime was reported 1:39pm Sept. 1.
Embezzlement
An employee of 76 gas station, 14660 Monterey Road, allegedly stole about $160 worth of lottery tickets. The crime was reported 11:27am Aug. 29.
Burglary
Someone broke into a home on Heidi Court, trashed the residence and sprayed paint throughout the property. The crime was reported 6:59pm Sept. 3.
A burglar entered a home on Calle Del Rey and stole tools, a bike pump and other items. The burglary was reported 1:59pm Aug. 31.
Recovered stolen vehicle
A black Honda Civic that was stolen out of Gilroy was recovered on Old Monterey Road in Morgan Hill. The vehicle was reported at the Morgan Hill location 7:05pm Sept. 3.
Theft
Two suspects described as black female adults ran out of Dick’s Sporting Goods, 1011 Cochrane Road, with stolen Nike sweaters. They fled the area in a silver Nissan Sentra. The crime was reported 8:50pm Sept. 5.
Petty theft
A suspect attempted to steal a television and clothes, worth a total of about $400, from Target, 1061 Cochrane Road. The crime was reported 2:43pm Aug. 29.
A thief was seen siphoning gas out of vehicles on Caputo Drive. A passerby frightened the suspect, who fled in a silver car going westbound on Tennant Avenue. The theft was reported 3:32pm Sept. 7.
Grand theft
Someone stole a Specialized electric bike worth about $1,500 from a location on Monterey Road. The crime was reported 7:51am Aug. 31.
Stolen vehicle
A thief or thieves stole a brown 2012 Honda parked near the Jewelry Box on the 17100 block of Monterey Road. The theft was reported 10:52am Aug. 31.
A 2008 Honda CRV was stolen from a spot on Del Monte Avenue. The crime was reported 9:19am Sept. 1.
Vandalism
An intoxicated woman was arrested after she was seen vandalizing a pickup truck parked on St. Anthony Drive. The crime was reported 12:39am Sept. 1.
Welfare check
A woman was seen walking on East Edmundson Avenue toward Keith Way wearing only a diaper. The incident was reported 4:56pm Sept. 6.
