Lola passed away Sunday, December 10, 2006 after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Frank & Ruth Lopez, wife of Oscar Cesena of Gilroy, mother of Terry Cesena, David Cesena & Mark Cesena, all of Gilroy and Alice Aguayo of San Luis, Arizona, grandmother of Deanna Cesena of Gilroy and Miguel, Oscar and Laura Aguayo all of San Luis, great-grandmother of Isaac James Padraza of Gilroy, sister of Chelo Gonzalez, Rosa Ortega, Gloria Lopez, Tony Lopez, Raymond Lopez, all of Gilroy, Frank Lopez of Hollister and Petra Larsen of Palmdale, CA.

Bill Hanna 74, dearly loved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away at his home on November 1, 2009, after a bout with cancer. His family, friends and community members will lovingly remember Bill as a man who loved life, family, and his community.

Passed away in Walnut Creek at the age of 47.

 Adela Castaneda-Ruiz, 86 years old, passed away on April 25, 2012 at her residence in Gilroy. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Ruben (Sofie) Acosta, Mike Acosta, Jr., Joe (Jessica) Acosta, Conrado (Irvina) Acosta, Armando (Nilda) Acosta and Ronnie Acosta. She will be missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother and two sisters.

Thomas Furtado, 59, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Kaiser Hospital on August 21, 2010. Thomas was born on May 27, 1951 to Anthony and Norma Furtado. He lived on the family ranch in Gilroy.

Mary C. Mendonca, age 94 of San Martin, went to be with her heavenly Father on February 22, 2007. Mary was born in Italy and moved to San Martin at the age of 6. Mary married Arnold Mendonca in 1948 and had a son, Arnold Jr., in 1952. Mary lived the majority of her life in San Martin, CA, before moving to Twin Falls, ID, in 2000, to be with her son and his family. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and loved to travel. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Long time Gilroy resident, John "Jack" Provost passed away at his Sun City, Arizona residence on February 14, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Services have been held and interment took place at Davis District Cemetery in Davis, California with his beloved wife, Allyce "Penny" Provost who passed away in 2007.
