Carol “Puff” Faith Spurr

Carol entered into rest Thursday July 12, 2007. Born August 10, 1963 in Mountain View, CA, she resided most of her life in Sunnyvale, CA. She lived her life to the fullest, while courageously facing the many challenges of cystic fibrosis. As a double lung transplant recipient in 1997, she truly valued the additional time she was given. She loved going to concerts, traveling, bowling and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Aileen Andrews Bryson October 3, 1955 – December 13, 2016

Aileen passed away in Canyon City, CO after a years battle against lung cancer. Her love was boundless, her spirit kind, and all will miss her. A memorial will be held this spring in Colorado, contact daughter Jessica for details.

Gilbert M. Campa

Gilbert M. Campa, born August 29, 1935 in Phoenix, AZ, entered through the gates of Heaven peacefully on March 15, 2007, with his loving family by his side after a brief but brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Sara S. Campa and his children, Cyndi, Manuel, Charles (Desiree), and Anthony Campa, all of Morgan Hill, and Angie Campa of Merced and Deanna Lozonne of Vacaville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved equally. He is also survived by his siblings, Dolores Hollis of Bakersfield, Jessie Gonzales of Los Angeles, Esther Baltazar of Los Banos, Lupe Lira of Gilroy, Connie Ward of Coursegold, Joseph and George Campa of Gilroy. He was preceded in death by his son, Gilbert Campa Jr. of Hollister, his sister, Ramona Salas, his brother, Amando Campa and his parents, Jesus and Maria Campa of Gilroy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 4-8 pm with a service on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 1:30 pm, both at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Street in Morgan Hill. Interment will be private.

Vernie Rocca July 5, 1917 – March 7, 2017

Just shy of her 100th birthday, Vernie Imogene Weymouth Rocca passed away on March 7, 2017.Born in San Mateo to George Weymouth and Mary Ellen Walker Weymouth, she moved to Gilroy as a small child. Her late brothers were Elmer Weymouth and Henry Weymouth.Married to Joseph M. Blaettler in 1936. Married to Raymond Cowardin in 1948 unitl his death in 1990. Married to Jack Rocca in 1995 until his death in 2009. Vernie was active socially and had a wide circle of friends. She was known as a gracious hostess and often entertained in her home. She loved traveling and took many trips over the years. Quite the adventuress, she enjoyed everything from hiking volcanoes in Micronesia to trips in hot air balloons. Survived by: son Joseph P. (Ralette) Blaettler; daughter Vicki (Donald) Blaetler Woodside; grandchildren Matthew (Louise) Blaettler, Thomas (Susie) Blaettler and Rae Woodside; and great granddaughter Sammie Blaettler. Also survived by step- children Steve (Marilyn) Rocca, Judy (Larry) Rocca Clink, and Barbara (Jim) Rocca Ahlin; plus numerous grand-children and great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm Friday, March 17, 2017 at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.Online condolences at www.habingfamilyfuneralhome.com.
