Charles F. Marcus

Charles F. Marcus passed away in Gilroy. He was born in Hollister and was a lifetime resident. He served his country honorably in WWII in the US Navy. A past member of Hollister Elks Lodge and was a rancher all of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet, who died in 1994.

Fred Anthony Arena

Fred Anthony Arena passed away Tuesday at the age of 48 in Hollister. He was the husband of Lori Arena (Vajretti) of Hollister. He resided in Santa Cruz for over 10 years, prior to coming to Hollister 2-1/2 years ago. Memorial services are pending at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister

Mary Marget Wallace

Mary Marget Wallace passed away at the age of 79, Friday, in Sun City West, Arizona. Born in Indiana, she came to California in 1961, having resided in San Juan Bautista from 1975 to 1993. She had received her Bachelor's Degree at Gavilan College.

Albert Mendoza

Albert Mendoza, 87, of San Martin passed away peacefully with his family on Wednesday November 24, 2010. Albert lived a long healthy life and enjoyed farming until his death.

Robert Thomas Reineccius

Robert Thomas Reineccius passed away Saturday, Februrary 3, 2007 suddenly in Gilroy. He was the loving son of Thomas and Lucinda Reineccius; Perfect brother of Trish Reineccius; Loving Uncle of Jonathan Moore; all of Gilroy. Grandson of Alice Lawrence and Jeanette Reineccius. Godson of Pete & Mary Calderon. Nephew of Chris, Mary Alice, Jackie, Margaret, Mary, Barbara, Nicki, David, Johnny, Jim, Bob, John, Joe, Tim and their spouses. Cousin and best friend of Nick DiSalvo. Other cousins, Justin, Pete, Eric, Jeff, Elise, Elia, Nicholas, Jeanette, Tonya, Aaron, Alicia, John, Jennifer, John III. And many others, too numerous to mention. He was born & raised in Gilroy, graduated from Gilroy High School in 2005, and was an avid golfer. He recently worked with his dad in the billiard industry. He will be missed by his family, best friend Josh Flores, and many other close friends including his pet dog, Rocco.

Alfonso V. Jaime

Alfonso V. Jaime passed away Saturday, November 24th, at the age of 83, in Hemet, California. Born in Lemoore, CA, he lived in Hollister from 1932 to 1954, when he moved to El Segundo, CA. He attended local schools in Hollister and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for Foremost Dairy and was in charge of weights and measures for 37 years. Alfonso was preceded in death by his wife Rachel who died in 1994, his parents, Luis and Maria Jaime and brothers; Adolph and Henry Jaime. He was the father of Anne Turek of Pacifica, Rick Jaime of San Andreas, George Jaime of El Segundo, Cathy Nicholai of Fort Bragg, Marie DeGand of Woodland,and Mark Jaime of Smith River, brother of Carmen Jaime of Mexico and Mae Landeros of Hollister. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
