Muralist hired for Third Street project
Artist Morgan Bricca will design and paint the Third Street Promenade mural for $25,000.
The 340-foot mural will block the view of the vacant Sunsweet lot, on the southwest corner of Depot and Third streets. The image will depict East Third Street in the past and future.
Bricca expects to finish the design and painting of the mural by December.
Bricca, who lives in Palo Alto, was selected by a review committee made up of Morgan Hill Downtown Association Executive Director Jorge Briones, a Library, Culture and Arts Commissioner and Business Assistance and Housing Services staffers.
Bricca was approved by the Morgan Hill City Council in late September.
