Other MHPD incidents

Petty theft

A Walmart shopper fled the store at Cochrane Plaza when the man tried to leave with a cart full of DVDs without paying for them, according to police. 

The attempted theft was reported about 2:40 p.m. Thursday, police said. The suspect, described as a white male adult in his early to mid 20s and about 6 feet tall, was stopped by Walmart employees when he was seen pushing a cart containing about 30 DVDs out the door. 

When employees asked the man for a receipt, he fled the store and entered a white 2013 Chevrolet Captiva driven by an unknown person, police said.
