Dear Red Phone: “Do you know when the metering lights at the Tennant, Dunne and Cochrane on-ramps to Highway 101 will be turned on? I hate the daily congestion I experience on 101 every morning.”
Red Phone: It’s Red Phone’s understanding – and this answer makes our dial tone even redder – that the metering lights will not be turned on until all freeway interchanges in South County are outfitted with metering lights. That’s a burst of logic we don’t understand at all. The lights are there at great taxpayer cost, why not use them?
