From writing his first book at age 10, getting it published at 13 and grabbing the attention of more than a dozen local and national contests for his academic achievements – Tyler Jacob Sadoff is a busy high school freshman.
Last month, Live Oak student Sadoff was selected by the invitation-only National Society of High School Scholars as its new member. The NSHSS is an international honor society comprised of outstanding high school students representing 20,000 high schools in 180 countries.
“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Tyler has demonstrated to achieve this level of academic excellence,” said founder and chairman Claes Nobel, who hails from the family that established Nobel Prizes.
At LOHS, Sadoff is involved in the California Scholarships Federation, Future Business Leaders of America, Interact and Student Voices. He is on Live Oak’s swim team, practices the martial art of Shinkendo and maintains a 3.8 GPA.
Sadoff wrote his first novel, “A Journey in Time” at age 10 and was published by 13. He’s interested in the video game industry and was recently accepted into the Summer@USC Introduction to Video Game Design and will spend his summer attending the four-week college immersion program.
