Thanks to the Intero Foundation, 80 children will be gaining skills for a brighter future at the Learning and Loving Education Center. The center was awarded a $10,000 grant to promote English literacy, school readiness, and healthy development of limited English speaking at-risk, low-income children of South Santa Clara County, up to age 5. These children are preparing for kindergarten while their mothers are learning English, computers skills, parenting, health, and life-long learning skills. Russ Warrick of Intero Real Estate Services presented the $10,000 check to Sister Pat Davis, the Learning and Loving Education Center executive director, and the children. The Learning and Loving Education Center will use the Intero Foundation grant to provide educational opportunities and outreach to the community’s underserved children.
