How to apply for one of 27 homes, most “affordable” and some with teacher preferences, will be the subject of informational meetings hosted by South County Housing Corp.

Meetings are scheduled for April 5 and 12, 6-7:30pm at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, at the corner of East Dunne Avenue. Additional meetings will be announced later.

The housing developments are Viale, at the corner of Watsonville Road and Calle Sueno, and Morgan Station, at McLauglin and East Central avenues.

Viale will be 10 single-family detached homes. Preference will go to Morgan Hill School District teachers and Morgan Hill city employees, but all can apply. A groundbreaking ceremony for the project took place Wednesday.

Morgan Station will have 17 homes – four duplexes, two triplexes and three single-family, detached homes. The three single-family homes will have a one-bedroom granny rental unit.

Both developments target market-rate to low-income buyers. For more information on the market rate homes, call 847-3500.

Applications are available at South County Housing, 9015 Murray Ave., Ste. 100, Gilroy, CA 95020. Call 842-9181.
