In a tri-meet against Santa Teresa and Leigh Wednesday, Sobrato had some great performances, but it didn’t translate to the wins the Bulldogs have enjoyed.
That didn’t stop the Sobrato standouts from continuing to perform at a high level, starting with Jarod Hatch who once again showed he is among the best in the section.
Hatch had wins in the 200-yard freestyle and 100y butterfly plus helped the free relay team to a win.
He took the 200y free by almost 5 seconds, winning with a time of 1:44.36. He later took the 100y fly with a time of 52.31.
Then the team of Tyler Lamb, Justin Hernandez, Clayton Sawyer and Hatch took the 200y free relay by almost 6 seconds, winning in 1:33.62.
The only other wins came on the girls side with Mika Itow taking the 200y free with a 2:01.82.
She also took second in the 100y breaststroke with a time of 1:12.75.
The next win came from Kiara Lyle who easily won the 1-meter dive, scoring a 202.85. Teammate Kylie Katsutyoshi took second with a score of 188.20.
Abby Pfefferlen had some great performances, taking second in the 100y backstroke, with a time of 1:05.06. She missed first place by 1.64 seconds.
Itow and Pfefferlen also teamed up in two relays, taking second in the 200y free relay with Bree Gillis and Nina Alimus, with a time of 1:47.54.
The duo also joined Cameryn Gills and Bree Gillis in the 200 medley relay, finishing in third with a time of 1:59.77.
Finally for the girls, Amanda Jacoson, Helena Batey, Cameryn Gillis and Aliamus took third in the 400 free relay, finishing in 4:10.08.
Rounding out the boys, Clayton Sawyer took third in the 50y free, finishing in 24.99.
