EDITOR: Kudos for your recent endorsement of the Gavilan College
bond initiative, Measure E on the March 2 ballot. I wholeheartedly
agree with your conclusion that a yearly assessment of $15 per
$100,000 of value is a small sum indeed when balanced against the
obvious benefits.

Kudos for your recent endorsement of the Gavilan College bond initiative, Measure E on the March 2 ballot. I wholeheartedly agree with your conclusion that a yearly assessment of $15 per $100,000 of value is a small sum indeed when balanced against the obvious benefits.

As a Gavilan instructor and alumni (1988) I and tens of thousands of other students through the years have benefited from this communities commitment to higher education. But, now is the time to move ahead. Gavilan’s aging campus and technology systems needs this bond to update and expand our programs.

In an economic environment as competitive as ours we need to insure that Gavilan College students are given every advantage possible to succeed.

Thank you for your support.
