Voters who would like to receive an absentee ballot by mail must submit a written request to the Registrar of Voters' Office no later than 5 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 31. Absentee applications are available on the back cover of the sample ballot and online at www.sccvote.org. Requests may be mailed to P.O. Box 1740, San Jose, 95109 or faxed to (408) 293-6002.
