Morgan Hill – Portions of Cochrane Road were closed for several hours Wednesday afternoon because a transformer malfunctioned, according to PG&E Brian Swanson. Morgan Hill Police officers and Department of Public works employees barricaded the area after the 3:45pm blowout. Three customers lost power as a result, Swanson said, and power was restored by 2:15am. No one was injured, but traffic was diverted during one of the busiest times of the day.
