Clarification

The Morgan Hill Times Sept. 28 editorial failed to give readers the complete origin of the Taste of Morgan Hill festival. The event was started by the Morgan Hill Downtown Revitalization Program, now the Morgan Hill Downtown Association and was turned over to the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce after five years when the two organizations joined together. Morgan Hill Councilman Greg Sellers was the executive director at the time, and while Lorraine Welk was a great supporter and active in the MHDRP, the event was conceived of, developed by and run by Sellers and the downtown merchants and property owners.
