AAUW Morgan Hill is still searching for the right Leadership Morgan Hill scholarship recipient! We have extended the application deadline for our Class of 2027 scholarship to Oct. 31, 2026, hoping to find a woman with the passion and potential to become an outstanding community leader.
Perhaps the right recipient is already making a difference in others’ lives or has yet to recognize her own capabilities. Could that be you, or someone you know? We invite you to apply, encourage a promising candidate or spread the word.
Creating opportunities, nurturing potential and investing in our community’s and nation’s future are at the heart of AAUW Morgan Hill’s work. Our leadership scholarship is just one example.
Tech Trek Math & Science Camp
This summer, we once again sponsored 10 rising eighth-grade girls to attend Tech Trek the weeklong immersive math and science camp. They returned inspired, motivated and full of new knowledge highlighted in a video at the recent All Member MeetUp.
Among them may be a future engineer, scientist or innovator whose journey began with this remarkable week of discovery.
Educational scholarships
Through our Wildflower Fund, supported by the much-loved annual Wildflower Run, we help local students pursue higher education, women return to college and scholarship recipients continue their studies.
Currently, these awards are being processed by our scholarships committee members.
Community action grants
Our commitment extends beyond education. Through Community Action Grants of up to $1,000, we support local nonprofits advancing equity and opportunity for women and girls.
Applications were open until Oct. 15, and we encourage eligible organizations to apply.
Candidate forums
Our three recently concluded nonpartisan Candidates Forums brought residents and candidates together for thoughtful discussions about issues affecting our community, reflecting our belief that informed, engaged citizens strengthen our democracy.
Historic Women of Morgan Hill
We’re also delighted to present Historic Women of Morgan Hill at the library on Nov. 17, following the enthusiastic reception of our August program at Villa Mira Monte during Women’s Week, celebrating Morgan Hill’s 120th anniversary.
We look forward to once again bringing to life the stories of remarkable women who helped shape our town.
Young Women Leaders
Our award-winning Young Women Leaders program continues to inspire teenage girls to find their voices, develop confidence and discover their capacity to make a difference.
They were an integral part of the recent Candidates Forum, and will once again organize a Youth leadership Conference on March 20, 2027.
All-Member Meet-Up
Behind these programs are dedicated volunteers, generous supporters and valued community partnerships. Our recent All-Member Meet-Up welcomed more than 110 members and guests, celebrating the friendships, energy and spirit of service that sustain our work.
Finally, we return to the Leadership Morgan Hill scholarship recipient we’re searching for. Perhaps she’s reading this now, or perhaps you know her. Help us find her.
Morgan Hill’s next leadership story could begin with one application.
