Police have identified a third victim of Gilroy resident Anthony Joseph Ramon, who is accused of sexually assaulting children who attended a YMCA summer camp in Morgan Hill.
The Morgan Hill Police Department announced last week that Ramon, 25, was arrested and charged again on July 24 on suspicion of sexually assaulting another 10-year-old girl earlier this summer at the day camp at the Morgan Hill Aquatics Center.
Ramon was arrested previously on July 9 and July 16 in relation to two victims, also 10-year-old girls who attended the summer camp. The MHPD investigation has continued, as Ramon has posted bail and been released from custody after each charge.
Police said all three incidents occurred before Ramon’s July 9 arrest, while the victims were attending the YMCA summer day camp during a field trip to the Morgan Hill facility. Ramon allegedly assaulted all three victims on the same day.
Ramon was a counselor at the camp where the assaults occurred, police said.
When detectives heard about the third victim, they promptly scheduled a forensic interview with the child, MHPD said. On July 24, MHPD officers and the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office obtained a $50,000 arrest warrant for Ramon, on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts on a minor.
On July 27, police arrested Ramon again and authorities booked him at the Santa Clara County Jail. He posted bond and was released from custody, police said.
Ramon’s next hearing is scheduled as an arraignment on Sept. 4, according to the Santa Clara County Superior Court.
