The saying, “I don’t know how to act my age, I’ve never been this age before,” is so telling. Not many of us research which resources we would need, which resources would be available when we reach what is called the age of wisdom.
Stress not—the City of Morgan Hill, in partnership with the Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) and Kaiser Permanente has answers for you—attend the Annual Morgan Hill Senior Resource Fair!
From 10am-1pm on May 15, the City of Morgan Hill Senior Center will hold the Annual Senior Resource Fair at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road in Morgan Hill. If you need a free ride to the fair, call the Senior Center at 408.782.1284 to arrange for transportation, compliments of Sourcewise, a community resource solutions company.
At the fair, you will be welcomed by representatives of companies with products and services for older adults, eager to provide you with information and answer any questions. There will be healthcare providers available for health screenings as well.
The Resource Fair’s priority is to connect you with resources—for free. But if you wish to participate in a noble deed, the Stanford Blood Drive will be present at the resource fair. Did you know that every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood? Your contribution will certainly make an impact.
The Morgan Hill Senior Resource Fair can be a family outing, actually. There will be entertainment and the first 200 participants are eligible for FREE lunches—thanks to an assisted living facility that has been voted one of the best in Silicon Valley—Westmont of Morgan Hill.
This is a must-attend event if you want to be in-the-know about health and aging well. It has proven to be an excellent way to connect people to services and support for the aging population.
