Women dressed as suffragettes walked the streets of Morgan Hill Saturday, Aug. 24 in celebration of the ratification of the 19th amendment, a woman’s right to vote. 

The South County women’s equality series kicked off with the march and the rally Saturday morning until the afternoon. The events went on throughout the weekend and into the morning on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Councilmember Yvonne Martínez-Béltran organized the event and marched at the center of the group of suffragettes.
