Congressman Jerry McNerney will hold a “Congress at Your Corner” to meet with his constituents from 10:30 a.m. to noon today at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W. Main Ave. He will be joined at the event by Morgan Hill’s Mayor Steve Tate.
“I am committed to meeting with residents throughout our community so that I can effectively serve and address the needs of my constituents,” McNerney said. “I encourage people to come and share their thoughts and ideas with both Mayor Tate and me.”
“Congress at Your Corner” is part of an effort to reach out to residents of California’s 11th District at places they already visit such as shopping centers, grocery stores and coffee shops. In order to provide all participants at this “Congress at Your Corner” the opportunity to ask a question or share a comment directly with their representatives, Congressman McNerney and Mayor Tate will meet together with groups of people for 30 minute segments based on the order in which they arrive.
The event Tuesday will mark the 60th “Congress at Your Corner” hosted by the Congressman. Hundreds of people have attended to share their opinions on a variety of topics and to ask for assistance resolving issues with a federal agency.
