All school will be closed Dec. 20 for two weeks. School resumes Jan. 3.
Open enrollment, transfers start Jan. 6
The Morgan Hill Unified School District will begin accepting inter-district enrollment applications Jan. 6, from parents who live within the boundaries of MHUSD and want their students to attend school in another district application forms are available now at district headquarters, 15600 Concord Circle and online at www.mhu.k12.ca.us.
The district anticipates having a limited number of enrollment spaces for inter-district transfers for the 2011-12 school ear. As a result, no inter-district requests will be honored for Nordstrom Elementary School, Britton Middle School or Sobrato High School. Students at P.A. Walsh (program improvement year 4) and Jackson Elementary (program improvement year five) are given preferential treatment in choosing a new school because they are considered low-performing schools.
Applications will be date and time stamped. Students living outside the district, must first secure a release from their district of residence. Students are placed in schools in the following order: School of residence, open enrollment, program improvement, overflow, choice placement and lastly, inter-district transfers.
