My friend, Brad Dacus of Pacific Justice Institute, advises that State Senate Bill SB 950, which is sponsored by Senator Alarcon, would add “habitual truancy” to the definition of child abuse in Welfare and Institutions Code Section 300. Here is another example of the abuse of child abuse. (Government in your face). It won’t end until voters finally stand up and put these “power junkies” back in their public “servant” places.

Dacus adds, “This provision enables a child to be immediately taken from their family and put into the juvenile court system with no prior opportunity for parents to make their case. (I’ll add, “Look out for momma bear!”) Under present law, truancy is addressed through the school district, where parents are entitled to make a defense before any action is taken against the child or family.

“This dangerous bill creates an unnecessary fear that parents will have their children taken with no due process whatsoever. Citizens are encouraged to contact their local representative to express their feelings about this legislation. (That is Assemblyman John Laird, D-Santa Cruz) Should this become law and be enforced against non-truant families, we will contest this in federal court as a fundamental violation of parental rights,” said Dacus.

A decade ago, I had parents refuse to believe their daughters could be taken from school for abortions without parental consent. Believe it. Unless loving parents stand up to their responsibilities and get their kids out of this government brainwashing machine, there will be ever increasing pressure to make them puppets, unprepared to defend their own, much less their parent’s liberty.
