Last December, the issue was raised concerning the distribution of free and reduced price lunches to Live Oak students during brunch and lunch. Currently, the students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches are directed to four lines on the side of the cafeteria building.

The column “A better way to offer reduced price lunches” by Chrissy Bryant in he March 7 edition proves that the California school system must be doing something right to produce a young writer of this caliber. Bravo, Ms. Bryant for taking a stand against economic discrimination with such an outstanding piece of writing! Keep up the good work.
