The Live Oak High School Athletic Boosters Club will be presenting its first annual Golf Classic this fall.
Scheduled for Friday, October 3, the tournament will be played at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course and Country Club in Gilroy. It will have an 11 a.m. shotgun start, and the Boosters are planning to accommodate 144 golfers for the event.
Included with the round of golf are the use of a golf cart and complimentary beverages on the course. “Tee prizes” will be available, with South County Chevrolet presenting a new car for the “Hole in One” contest.
There will be a buffet breakfast before the tournament, and a buffet dinner along with “silent auction” and raffle afterwards. Fees for the day will be $175 per golfer.
The Boosters Club is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote, assist and support the athletic programs at Live Oak High School.
With the continued budget woes both throughout the state and particularly within the local school district, the boosters are stepping up their efforts this year to help defray more of the costs of the sports programs at Live Oak.
